The overall public transport usage in March reached over 508.8 million passengers, marking an 8.4% increase from March 2024. Despite the general upward trend, some segments experienced declines. Railway transport saw a 2.2% decrease, primarily due to drops in Commuter and Medium-Distance services. However, the Long-Distance segment, including high-speed rail, grew by 11.1%, further cementing its position as a key component of Spain's transport infrastructure. As Spain moves forward, the sustained growth in public transport usage signals a shift towards more sustainable and efficient mobility solutions among its citizens.
