Andalusia's Investment Strategy Takes Center Stage in Madrid

26-05-2025

Andalusia's ambitious strategy to attract foreign investment will be showcased in Madrid on May 26, as Juanma Moreno, the president of the Junta, presents the region's unique advantages and opportunities to a professional audience. The event, organized by the Consejería de Economía, Hacienda y Fondos Europeos through Andalucía Trade, aims to highlight Andalusia as a prime destination for investors, featuring dialogues between companies and investors, and networking opportunities.

The Museo Reina Sofía will host the event under the Invest in Andalucía brand, drawing attention to the region's economic data, infrastructure, education, business fabric, and labor market. A key highlight will be the presentation of the Cuaderno de Venta de Andalucía, a novel tool by the public agency that compiles strategic information about Andalusia, positioning it as the gateway for investors into the region.

With over 3,100 foreign companies already established in Andalusia by the end of 2024, the region has demonstrated its appeal to international investors. These companies, either fully foreign-owned or with significant foreign shareholding, have contributed significantly to the local economy, generating billions in revenue and thousands of jobs. The event in Madrid is set to further bolster Andalusia's position on the global investment map.

The presence of foreign companies is particularly strong in Málaga, accounting for more than half of the total, yet their footprint is evident across all provinces. This widespread presence underscores Andalusia's diverse and robust economy, ready to welcome more international investors. The upcoming event in Madrid is a testament to the region's proactive approach to economic development and its commitment to fostering a favorable investment climate.
