The upcoming Supercopa LF Endesa women's basketball tournament will feature two compelling semifinal matchups on September 27th at the Palacio de los Deportes in Huesca. The draw, conducted this Thursday at the Spanish Basketball Federation Museum in Alcobendas, Madrid, determined that defending champion Valencia Basket will face Perfumerías Avenida in the first semifinal at 17:15 hours, while Copa de la Reina champion Hozono Global Jairis will take on Casademont Zaragoza in the second semifinal at 20:00 hours.
Hozono Global Jairis enters the tournament following an enthusiastic season launch event at their Hacienda del Álamo complex, where the club presented new uniforms for both the Liga Femenina Endesa and EuroCup Women competitions. Club president Manuel Martínez Ortuño emphasized the collective strength and ambition driving the team into the new season, stating: "Today we give the starting signal to a new season full of excitement, commitment and ambition. Every beginning marks a turning point, a blank page that we will write together with effort, dedication and teamwork."
The semifinal between Casademont Zaragoza and Hozono Global Jairis represents a clash between two rising teams in Spanish women's basketball. Casademont Zaragoza, last season's league and Supercopa runner-up, is making its third consecutive appearance in the tournament, while Hozono Global Jairis participates for the second straight year after debuting as hosts last season. Both clubs are seeking their first Supercopa title, adding extra motivation to the matchup.
The tournament's winners will advance to the final on Sunday at 17:00 hours, competing for the first trophy of the 25-26 season. Perfumerías Avenida holds the record with nine Supercopa titles, while Valencia Basket has won three since 2021, including the last two consecutive championships. Valencia Basket sports director Esteban Albert acknowledged the challenge ahead, noting that Perfumerías Avenida has strengthened its roster significantly during the summer and will arrive with strong determination.
